and so I tried MacBaren`s HH Mature Virginia
My 100gr tin arrived last week with my normal monthly order of Fillmore .
The smell that hit me was very pleasant , smoky like a slow camp fire . The ready-rubbed tobacco loaded well in each of the 5 pipes I used over the past 4 days . The taste is un-mistakenly Mac Barens . Their tobacco has an ubderlying taste/aroma that is present in every one of the blends I have smoked . It is a taste that I am not quite able to put my finger on , a graham cracker / oat straw taste . As with the other Mac Barens topbaccos , tounge-bite got me on this one too . Whether it has something to do with the casing added , I don`t know , this is the only brand that I end up w/tounge bite . another tin to let age for a while. I doubt that I will buy another Mac Baren tobacco
