La Gloria Cubana Serie R Nat. #4
Time for another review!
Just got a box of LGC serie R #4 natties and couldn't wait to smoke one, they looked and smelled so yummy! So I thought I would post a review. Cigar looked wonderful, advertised as natural but a wonderful dark looking wrapper, good enough to eat almost. Aroma was sweet tobacco and very deep. Pre light draw was a little loose. Light up was a burst of pepper and spice, mighty nice! The flavor mellowed out to a very flavorful combo of spice, leather and tobacco goodness, draw was still a little loose, but burn was even and the ash held well. The cigar produced lots of smoke and did not get too hot. Halfway in the cigar got a little soft, but not spongy or flat, burn got razor sharp at halfway and stayed that way all the way to the nub. Full flavored, full bodied with plenty of strength. Construction seemed top notch with no splitting, unraveling, tunneling or spitting out peices of tobacco from the head as smoked. Finish was sharp and short, but the spiciness lingers, even now on the lips. Overall: Appearance: 10 of 10 Flavor: 9.5 of 10 Construction: 9.5 of 10 Finish: 9 of 10 Draw: 8.5 of 10 Total rating: 93 of 100 a real darn good smoke. Ima gonna have to hide these if there gonna last |
