Ouch Tom... I suppose now my reputation will precede me when I do finally land my feet on those marvellous Highland and Island soils.

I too have a weakness for the whisky of Glenfarclas. It simply smells and tastes of the true spirit of the region, and isn't afraid to show its true grit. I've been toying with nabbing a full bottle of the 25 to shore up that portion of the cabinet, but this will have to wait a wee bit until I settle in on an incoming bottle of cask-strength Arran - never tried this distillery's make before and am anxiously awaiting the exeprience.

As for that cork fiasco, I've never come across the too small for the opening syndrome, but have suffered the too big plague - nothing worse than having the plastic cap rip right off the remainder of the cork in the neck and then have the rest refuse to extract itself. Arghhhh!!!
