C & D Burley Flake # 3

This tobacco is a blend of Burley, Kentucky, Perique and Virginia. A lot going on with this tobacco. The blend is heavy on the Burley and Kentucky. It is earthy and spicy. Very strong tasting tobacco. The broken flakes rub out easy into a nice shag. Burns well, and stays lit. This tobacco is very strong and will appeal to veteran pipe smokers who enjoy very strong earthy flavors.

Thanks Andy for the sample. This tobacco rocks.

At one point I think I bought and smoked 10 cans of #3. The stuff wore me out. It was just too stiff for me to smoke a lot of it even though I liked it.

Try MacBaren's Kentucky based tobaccos like Old dark Fired or Bold Kentucky. Those are even better IMO.

Normally MacBaren's tobacco bit me. But these didn't at all.

While I enjoy both ODF and BK very much, they are on the mild side of medium for me. C&D #1 and #3 are full and bold, which is more often my preference.

So true. I was offering an alternative for guys like me who sometimes get the hiccups from full and bold.

C&D is quality tobacco for sure.

I see I'm not alone with the hiccups! That happens occasionally to me also.
