Christmas pipe.
Hope everyone had a great christmas. Here is the pipe my dad got comissioned for me for Christmas. It was made by Skip Elliot (owner of The Briary) and I love it! It smokes better than any pipe I have ever put in my mouth. Skip told me it took over 20 hours alone in sandblasting. Pictures really don't do it justice.
Here is a link to my pipe on his website. I haven't had a chance to take pictures. Its the second pipe from the top. http://www.thebriary.com/elliott_pipes_pg_2.htm |

It sweet to have a custom made pipe in your rotation! Let us know how it smokes!

That's an excellent looking freehand JM! That sandblast job is one of the best I've seen. I wonder if Skip was trained by Larry Roush.

Yup. It smokes amazing. I thought my other pipes smoke good, and most of them do, but this one is just right. It has really gotten me really excited about pipes again.
Skip told me he there was only one other person in the world who sandblasts like that, and he inspired him. He didn't mention the name though. I am going to be back up there in a week or so, and I am going to go talk to him more about my pipe. The stem is beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice either. It really looks good in person on the pipe. Its a very nice contrast. Thanks for the comments --Josh |
