tedski, doesn't look like that person was correct, at least concerning the batch of pipes mine came from, since all three bowls of tobacco I've smoked in my pipe were great smokes, no nastiness at all!
As an aside, I smoked some more 3yr VA [Dunhill] in my LR pipe last night and got absolutely no tongue bite - either this tobacco is blended for it, or I finally have a technique that's working for me! Either way, just wanted to share my experience. -John
