Hope mine aren't dry - could be 12 months of damage?
Hi folks
Got a selection of about 75 cigar singles in my 100 count humi. Been at around 68 according to my caliber digi hygro (not salt tested, but I've regularly popped other hygros in there too, and they all read between 65 and 70) Anyway, last night had a 12 month old Cohiba Siglo I. Now I like these boxfresh, they usually look relatively dark, oily etc. My siglos are now somewhat paler - milk chocolate colour, and have lost the oily appearance. The squeeze is nice, not mushy, very slight rustle, but no cracking. The wrapper is great, and no swell at the foot. Anyway - this thing smoked like it was dry - really too loose on the draw, masses of smoke. Nice, not hot, just loose. I've now examined my others, and they too are looking paler, drier (not oily). No splits or cracking, but not as glossy as they were. Now concerned that these may be damaged? you think this was a one off with this stick, or I have a humi problem? I keep the humidifier well topped up, as I say, the hygros look ok, and I rotate the gars monthly. Just looking for comments really
