story number one.

My youngest was diagnosed with ASD(Autism spectrum disorders) at age 3. He was around 4 and had the verbal skills of an 5 year old at the time. I work from 6pm to 6 am. At around 2 am while the wife was asleep he decided he needed to go to the store for a snack. He got the wife's key and tried to drive her car to 7-11. He got the car started and was In it when I got home at 6. The only thing he said was" I think I grounded out mommy's starter when I tried to drive her car. Shortly after that we had to install double sided deadbolts to all doors to keep him in the house while we slept. His therapist thought we were lying until she talked to him about the incident. He told her everything.
