Roast times
Depending on ambient temperature, my roast in the West bent Poppery will fluctuate greatly. Sometimes second crack comes on at 6 min and if its cold out it go as long as 15 minutes.
I have been browsing coffee forums and noticed home roasters that use machines designed to roast coffee (not popcorn) that the machine usually starts second crack around 15 to 18 minutes or so. Is there a chart for optimum roast times for specific beans? Or does it really matter how long a roast takes? Mark
