Tight stem.
I bought a Savinelli dry system pipe from ebay and it came with the stem removed. After cleaning I tried to reinsert the stem and it's so tight that it won't go in all the way. It's the type that the shank and part of the stem fits into the wood that has a metal sleeve around it (hope that makes sense). I did some fine sanding and used the #2 pencil trick and it will go about halfway now. As a matter of fact I think it is now stuck.
Now what do I do? Should I put it in the freezer? Mark
