I'm going to respectfully disagree and maintain that politics and music can be extremely effective and well done, and have the possibility to quite powerful. That said, it's hard to do well, and the majority of artists attempting it fall short.
Art is art, and while not all speaks volumes, some does talk about life, and that will invariably intersect with politics...
