La Aroma De Cuba
This was the robusto size 5x54. When I bought these the tobaccoist said to let them age a few months and the flavor improved greatly. It has been two months today so I figured it was time.
Prelight - Nice dark and oily maduro wrapper. Some noticable veins but not to bad. Gave a good perlight tobacco smell. Clipped nicley no problems. Prelight draw gave a hardy tobacco taste. Should be an interesting cigar. Ash/Burn - Ash was very nice and firm. Stayed on for the first half of the cigar before falling off on it's own. The ash was a speckled gray and black. The burn started off a little uneven but corrected itself without any touch up. From there on no problems. Flavor - I'd say this is a full bodied cigar without the harshness. It never bit on the tongue or made you think damn this is strong. The draw was easy and produced good smoke volumn. This is the first full flavored cigar I'd say I enjoyed. Usually full strength cigars turn me off. I noticed dark chocolate and coffee flavor, this was a good and flavorful profile. This was consistent throughout and I never tired of this profile. Overall - Very enjoyable. I'm really looking forward to try these with a little more age on them. If you like full bodied and smooth cigars give this one a try, I don't think you will be disappointed. Give it an 8.8 |
