Romeo y Julieta Reserve Maduro #4
At first sight, I liked the wrapper on this cigar. It was almost black, with a thick, coarse, veiny wrapper. The cigar clipped nicely, probably a credit to its firmness. The initial draw was just a hair too tight for my preference, but not overly hard. Immediately, this little cigar start to develop burn problems that continue throughout the smoke, regardless of corrections I made. (Interestingly, the color of the wrapper changed to a noticibly lighter color about a half inch behind the ash line.)
As far as the taste, it was a woodsy, nutty taste; very pleasant. Initially the strength was mild/medium and changed to a solid medium strength toward the end. The taste didn't change significantly not did the cigar overheat, as many smaller cigars seem to do. All in all, this was a good cigar. I plan on letting the remainder of the four pack sit for a while longer. If the burn problem proves to be an isolated one, I plan on buying a box of these.
