Gurkha Centurian
About 12 years ago, when I started seriously smoking cigars, Gurkha was one of my favorite brands. Over the years, as my tastes changed, Gurkhas occupied less and less space in my humi. But the Centurian double perfecto has always had a place.
It's a medium bodied cigar with good flavor. The construction was very good, the burn nearly perfect. Flavors consist mostly of smokey/charred oak, some leather, pepper and a hint of citrus. Part way through a hint of sweetness/caramel appeared as the pepper eased up. Near the end, the pepper picked up a touch. It isn't very complex and the flavors though noticeable, aren't remarkable. All in all, a pleasant cigar. It's a nice go to smoke when you can't make up your mind. |
