Wolfburn and its whisky...
...are profiled in my latest CW Home Page article. This northern Scottish distillery came online in 2013, and has already garnered praise for the quality of its whisky.
Have yourself a peek HERE. You may just want to go shopping for some!

very pale straw color
nose: distant smoke, distant salt spray, fresh unripe pear taste: smokier than the nose suggested but not in anyway overpowering, Green apples. some nuttiness, bright notes abound. Not at all hot (given the proof it should be 'not hot') Finish: brown sugar pronounced, clean, solid but not tremendously long finish For the 59 dollar price point (Illinois not Chicago) it is quite a good dram. Will have another after dinner. Very good suggestion on this one sir. Like you I await older whisk(e)y from them Reminds me a bit of the entry level Kilchoman

True (but for the more pronounced peatiness in the Islay malt). Both are impressive in terms of the quality of their respective distillates.
Glad you're enjoying it.
