PLASENCIA CIGARS LAUNCHES REVAMPED WEBSITE AS BRAND CONTINUES TO EXPAND

Renovated website introduces a modern design and new features

MIAMI (Oct. 25, 2017) – Plasencia Cigars, a leading producer of premium cigars and the largest producer of tobacco in Nicaragua, is launching its revamped website at PlasenciaCigars.com. While the company previously established its online presence with a teaser website in 2016, the renovated website introduces a modern design and new features.

“We are excited for this next step in the growth of Plasencia Cigars ” said Nestor Andres Plasencia, CEO, Plasencia Cigars. “We are continually committed to our consumers and retailers, and we hope our online visitors will enjoy the redesigned website’s enhanced user-experience and easier access to all things Plasencia Cigars.”

Among the new features are “Smoke Signals Near You,” a geo-location function that finds the nearest retailers that exclusively sell Plasencia Cigars for consumers, a “Heritage” tab that gives a look into the 152-year timeline of the Plasencia family history, and a “News” tab featuring the latest from Plasencia Cigars, including information on new releases, media downloads, and more.

Currently, Plasencia Cigars has rolled out a total of four cigars in the U.S. with plans to expand their lineup in the future. Alma Fuerte, the first of five cigars that will make up Plasencia 1865 Alma Series and the first under the company’s namesake label, followed by Alma del Campo, the second of five cigars from the Alma Series, Reserva Original, the Cosecha 146 and the European exclusive Reserva 1898.

About Plasencia Cigars
Plasencia Cigars originated in 1865, when Eduardo Plasencia started growing tobacco in Cuba. Three decades later, the business expanded and the Corojal Farm in Cuba’s Vuelta Abajo region was settled. Since then, five generations of the Plasencia Family have been growing tobacco. They are substantially regarded in the industry as being one of the largest producers of first-class cigar tobacco in Nicaragua. Today, Plasencia Cigars manufactures more than 40 million handmade cigars per year by growing tobacco on 3,000 acres combined in several locations throughout Central America; four in Nicaragua, three in Honduras, one in Costa Rica and one in Panama.

They are really looking for the upper echelon of smokers with the prices they are asking for retail. I'm sure they are good cigars but to smoke on a regular bases it's out of my league.

When you get a press release, please forward it to me so I can post it in the magazine. I've started to get 3 new cigar magazine's I never subscribed to, but they are going to be a treasure trove of contacts to get on the list for releases. Good industry information too. Just got one this week called Cigars and Leisure that is the same concept as us except on glossy paper and more celebrity interviews to drive circulation. We were doing the same thing starting 10 years ago. With a bunch of new effort on my part, I think that we can compete without their overhead.

Plascencia has been so big for decades, and even grows their own weeds, but nobody seems to know about them. They were huge makers of bundles and shop brands. we've all probably smoked hundreds or even thousands of their work without realizing it. for example, maria mancini?

Apparently a lot of women save their placencia and put it in the freezer after the baby is born. It's supposed to be good luck or something...

Some burglar stole a woman's plascencia in australia. I think that she offered a huge reward.

The last few years, they've begun to capitalize on their tobacco and have begun making cigars for themselves with their own name on them. They've grown tobacco for others for generations, as you assert.

The Plasencias are one of the nicest families in the business. Very hard workers and they know the business from the seed to the finished product.
