Location: Out of KSA FINALLY!
So yesterday, my wife and I went down and met with Dan at Suzy's Newsstand Cigar Shop.
This is totally doable.
Everything is within walking distance of Suzy's place. No more than one mile at the farthest. There are a couple of small bar/restaurants, a winery, and a microbrewery/restaurant in an old mortuary ().
Suzy's is a good size. Kinda narrow, but long and deep. It is classic Americana inside. It has been there for almost 80 years run by the same family. Selection is a bit limited because of her small clientle, but she could possibly order some special boxes in for the event. Depends on her dealer. They have had bands play there, and there is a small room in the back with refreshments available.
The Mansfield Reformatory is about 2-3 miles away. This is where "Shawshank Redemption" was filmed. Tours are available, as well as off the beaten path special tours.
A Holiday Inn and Suites is probably the farthest venue from the shop.
Honestly, this is a small, depressed country town with cheap prices. Closest airports are Columbus, Akron-Canton, and Cleveland in that order.
This is also the home area of the Mid-Ohio auto race, and Bobby Rahal Racing.
I think that this could be a cheap little enjoyable blast for anyone that came to it.
Finally out of the sandbox.
If I say Corona, I ain't talking beer.
RIP Ed Toner
