Dual Review: Padron 2000 Maduro
Hey, everyone! We're back with another dual review. This time we are reviewing the famous Padron 2000 maduro.
Appearance: Lastminute: couple of veins. toothy cigar. Mississippi Rifleman: Really nice wrapper. dark brown wrapper. Very good cap. Pre-Light Draw: LM: Taste of the smell of mahogany. MR: Nice tobacco taste....hints of popcorn First Third: LM: Meaty taste...like a grill porterhouse steak. Woodsy. MR: Toasty nuts and a nice tobacco flavor. Not much sweetness yet. Second Third: LM: Berry flavors. Oat taste....toasted. Hints of sea turtle roe on the after taste. Nutmeg. MR: Sweetness is really starting to kick in....getting a nice strong cocoa note. I get the same toasted oat flavor....wheatiness. Last Third: LM: Draw got difficult but has a strong wild berry taste. Which is good. MR: Same as the second third....but there is some hints of allspice in the background...like its playing peek-a-boo. Overall: LM: Good, short smoke. Even burn. Thick, woodsy aroma. Looking forward to another one. MR: Nice smoke. LOADS of smoke and nice ash. No problems. Sweetness didn't develop like it does in the 5000s, but it was there. Score: 91/100 BOX WORTHY |
