December contest is live!

As mentioned previously, the December cut, light, review contest begins today. The theme this month is #CoronaDecember. All corona and petite corona size cigars qualify. To enter:

1. Smoke a corona size cigar.

2. Write a review and post it to the Cigar Weekly Cigar Reviews forum.

3. (optional) If you do social media, make sure to post about it and tag your post #Corona December.

In order to qualify, you must have seven (7) reviews posted during the month. All reviews should be posted separately. Pictures are encouraged.

The contest closes at 12 midnight on December 31, 2017. The winner will be selected from all qualifying entries. The prize will be a package of cigars from Cigar Weekly.

Good luck and happy smoking!

I'll try to get with the program. I've been taking advantage of the good weather to smoke big cigars. The cold is coming soon.

Well, seeing as it is Dec. 112 and there are no new corona reviews, I am wondering if this is even a good idea. But instead of scrubbing it, I will reduce the number of required reviews to five (5).

I'd really like to see people show interest in this.

I think it's fair to say that bigipps wins this month. Great job.

I am putting the contest on hold until at least March so it's not so frikkin' cold for those of us who smoke outside. I'm also going to lower the required number of reviews to three (3). Being semi-retired, I have lots of time to smoke and review and sometimes forget that other people have lives.

In the mean time, smoke, take notes, and try your hand at writing a review. I find it very entertaining to try to pick out the subtle flavors of different cigars.

March will tentatively be Robusto month if Algore's global warming kick in...

Congrats bigiips. Send me your address and I'll get your prize out to you.

Thanks, guys. It was fun trying to find the subtle flavors in the cigar. Although mostly unsuccessful--I think the primary flavor in each of the reviews was "tobacco." Ha!
