A fairly veiny Ecuadoran Habano wrapper smells somewhat spicy and slightly grassy and the foot smells more of spices and tobacco. The bunch is firm and the cold draw is good. Tonight's beverage is a Real Ale Three Lions IPA brewed in Blanco, TX.

Whatever grassiness I smelled on the wrapper is not in the smoke. Initial notes include the spiciness of a good Habano wrapper and cedar. Black pepper notes appear in the retrohale soon after. The burn is even and the ash is a mottled grey that looks solid.

By the first third I am tasting almonds and cedar with the spices and pepper. I knocked the ash off right before the third because the cigar was trying to go out. It smoked much better afterwards.

During the second third the body of the cigar picked up quite a bit. This is a solid medium body cigar. Lots of tobacco, almond and cedar notes with the pepper slowing in the retrohale.

The final third began a bit warm so I purged and got back to the pleasant complexity of flavors I had enjoyed so far. Small purges toward the final inch kept it so. The smoke remained pleasant until I was forced to put it down at one inch. A very nice cigar with only minor burn issues (I had to touch it up once), a good flavorful complexity remained. 8.85/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
