Halfway through a 64oz growler of Erik the Red / Imperial Red Ale from Barbarian Brewing (8.2% / 80 IBU). Very good local micro-brew that goes well with cigars and just about everything else.

Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon (Batch 8)... Quite a mouthful!

I'll have a full profile of this whiskey up on the Home Page in the near future.

Auchentoshan 1998 Fino Sherry Cask (cask strength, bottled in 2010)... Deliciously citrusy sweet'n'dry, and just as tasty as when I first opened the bottle. Unfortunately, I'm down to my last few drams.

Glen Garioch Batch 10 1995 Cask Strength (bottled in 2012 from first-fill Bourbon barrels)... Beautiful whisky!

Sampling Cooper's Toasted Wood bourbon that BigJohn gave me for Christmas.

Looking for it at the store, it's about $20/fifth, so it won't break the bank, either.

From what I've gleaned, this one sounds like it's made in a smooth and very easy drinking style.

It is. Strong vanilla finish. Lip licking good.
