Behike 54
Finally got to try one of these and have been looking forward to smoking it for some time. Well today was the day. Great construction and presentation but here's the rub: the entire smoke was very one dimensional, had no typical Cohiba flavor profile, no Habanos twang, and could have just as well been any number of Honduran cigars. Did I just get a bad one or what?
After having had a similar experience with a Trinidad 2010 Anniversario I am wondering about the quality of recent productions. Am I off base?

Hey, green bendable guy, haven't you gotten the word? Cubans pretty much suck any more, even though they cost about five times what they used to.
And they're all made with Nicaraguan tobacco anyway. Ask Elkie, he'll tell you.

Anyone else have recent experience with a Behike? I can't believe that they want $65+ for this, I'd smoke an Opus first.

A DUD ???? Well , I smoked a BK52 , BK54 and a BK56 and I totally disagree with you Gumby , those were marvelous smokes , well built , nice aromas of coffee , dark chocolate , the 54 I have to admit had a little herbal flavor for the first 5 or 6 puffs , about like the Cuaba Piramides EL2008 but it went away very fast , the 3 of them were a great smoking experience , of course the price is out of line but when you think that a Cohiba Esplendido as been $95 in Montreal for the last 5 to 6 years , $110 for the BK52 , $120 for the BK54 and $135 for the BK56 is kind of a good deal specially if you know that the original release of the Behike from 2006 sells for $55,000 for 40 cigars those are a very good deal ....... and the CAD and the USD are almost at par . So Gumby keep on smoking your Opus X

I've had one. It was a one dimensional dud. I asked the question due to all of the hype over this cigar, thus the thread. I guess I just got a bad one.
