Rafael Gonzalez 'lonsdale'
The last cigar from a CPV ESOO box was an amazing experience. The performance of this seven year old stick was made admirable by a tremendous combustion rate, which gave me the impression this cigar did not want to end. Thick, billowy clouds of smoke accompanied it's rich, wonderful flavor. The kind of smoke one doesn't often associate with a dalia. All in all, an event of epic proportion, and quite a nice reminder why i enjoy this hobby so. Rest in peace CPV ESOO, you will be missed.

It's always nice to capture a cigar, especially such a fine one, at its peak of perfection.

It is a sad thought that this classic is now discontinued.

Years ago these were outstanding - probably 7 of the last 10 I have smoked have been way too tight.
I thought it was the definitive lonsdale years ago but haven't been pleased with the last bunch of 'em I have smoked i think I have a couple left but the entire batch has been disappointing

Never smoked these until I heard they were being axed, so got one of the last boxes (DIC 05). Wonderful medium bodied cigar with a very pleasant flavor. Don't know about those 00s, but the 05s are delicious.
