Just set up my coolerdor today but the temps too high!

set up my coolerdor today...28qt...yeah yeah i know its too small but it was on sale bought the hygrometer, set it up only to discover that its 80 degrees in my room. i live in a two bedroom apartment. were students so we cant afford to pay for a/c. my RH is steady at around 70-72% using Water Pillows they gave me at the Cohiba Lounge. These will do until i get my beads. Anyways...i read the post about summer temps and im scared to death about beetles cause i cant afford ruined cigars. Any way to keep the temp down? I have the cooler inside a closet away from the light but its only a tad bit cooler than the room.

If you have access to a freezer, go to wally world and pick up several of those little lunch box cooler thingies. My kids have some that look like big M&M's. Freeze them up. Put them in zip lock baggies to reduce the risk of condensation and put a couple in your cooler. Buy enough to allow you to rotate them out between the cooler and the freezer. That might lower your temp enough to prevent bugs.
