Nice. I haven't used a charcoal grill in years, but I do prefer them. I use the gas for the sake of convenience.

Rob

I prefer charcoal , in fact I haven't owned a propane grill for years...

however I need to get one , the place I am living has a huge wood deck out back , and , charcoal grills and wood decks don't always mix well....

I will keep the charcoal grills out front on the concrete and a small table top propane on the deck for appetizers and such when we hanging out on the deck...

Propane grills are better for quick meals. When you want to grill up a few hot dogs it's hard to beat a gas grill. But if you know what you're doing, I have always found that the food tastes better over charcoal.

I use ng, charcoal and pecan wood :). When you grill 4 days a week the convenience of a 7 burner plumbed in stainless grill is nice. When you have the time and a big ass piece of meat, the other combustible materials work well.....

Short ribs looked good btw!

I use a gas grill like Rob describes, for quick and convenient. I also use a cart smoker with an offset firebox for low and low.

call me a hybrid. Gas powered chip smoker.... and a gas grill for nailing steaks right on the medium rare!
